1. Reservations
The reservation will be guaranteed once a deposit of 50% to 100% is made.
To confirm the reservation, the remaining amount has to be paid within 1 month before your arrival date.

All payments must be made via bank transfer to the Company’s Bank Account, after receipt of the Company’s Invoice. Good Surf Good Love only guarantees the reservation after receiving proof of payment and confirmation of receipt of the relative amount, in the company’s account.

3. Date Changings
If you wish to change your booking after it has been confirmed e.g. guest names, date changes, etc, you must let us know as soon as possible by e-mail to inestralha@goodsurfgoodlove.com. These changes include a surcharge of 40€ due to administrative reasons.
4. Cancellation
This is an explanation of some of the things that we think it’s really important you’re aware of before making a booking at any Good Surf Good Love Program.
None of this is new since 2004, when we first opened the Academy so this is not an update it’s just a clarification.
The most important thing to be aware of is that the deposit you pay to Life Culture – The Good Surf Good Love holding Company, is non-refundable. If the event or week that you reserved with us, cannot go ahead for some reason that’s totally outside of our control.
Lots of travel businesses have a refundable deposit business model. We don’t, so we think it’s important that we’re very clear there are advantages and disadvantages to both.
The advantage of a non-refundable deposit business model is that we can invest your deposit in making your program as good as it possibly can be.
Before you arrive we invest in the best Equipment in the Market and reserve a photographer, but mostly in the people, we pay and train our Coaches, and some small fraction of your deposit also serves as a safety net for our team in case we have to be shut for an extended period due to something like a tsunami or an earthquake or has happened in 2020 a pandemic.
We don’t expect you to carry the cost or the risk of your deposit however what we strongly advise you do is you get trip insurance or travel insurance as it’s sometimes called, which covers you to a level that you’re comfortable with the most comprehensive type of insurance is usually called a cancel for any reason policy.
The really important thing to be aware of with those is that you usually need to buy them within a specified time frame of making your initial booking. Sometimes it’s two or three weeks so if you’re making your reservation with us now, you should be looking at your trip insurance at the same time. If you need to cancel your trip as I said, your deposit is non-refundable. But if we’re able to resell the spot that we’ve been holding for you of course we’re happy to refund you your money minus a 200€ admin fee. We usually have quite a long waiting list for most weeks so historically reselling spots has never been a problem. I think before COVID there was only one or two that we weren’t able to resell in 20 years and that was because we had hardly any notice so you must give us as much notice as possible if you think you’re not going to be able to come.
If you need to reschedule your week move your dates in other words then that’s not something that we can do. There are lots of advantages to staying small such as we have but one of the disadvantages is that we don’t have lots of empty slots we can move people into, so if you need to reschedule your week, what you have to do is cancel your stay with us, and then we would try and resell your spot and refund you, and then you would make a new reservation for different dates.
5. Conditions
- By making a reservation on our program, I declare that I am aware of and accept and agree to all conditions set out in the reservation policy of the Good Surf Academy Good Love, By Life Culture Company.
- We accept participants of every age with the following conditions:
- Upon arrival, every participant has to complete the registration form.
- Participants under the age of 15 have to be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for them at any given time.
- Participants under the age of 18 will be asked for a signed declaration from the parents or tutors outlining their responsibilities. Good Surf Good Love will only be responsible for the participants during the Surfing Science Program.
- Minors have to respect the instructions of our team and behave according to the laws established in the European Union. Deliberate misbehaviour and disobeying the established rules will result in a warning and contacting the parents or tutors. In the case of repetitive misbehaviour, the result will be exclusion from the Program. As a consequence, no money will be refunded and no responsibilities for further upcoming costs will be taken.
- Everyone has to respect the instructions of our team and behave according to the laws established in the European Union, and all the Guidelines
- Deliberating bad behaviour and disobeying established norms and laws will result in warnings and contact with local authorities. In case of dangerous or repetitive behaviour, the result will be the exclusion from the Program and communication to the Local Authorities. As a result, no money will be returned and no liability for future costs will be assumed.
- Good Surf Good Love Surf Academy will reserve the rights to the media files (photo and video) from classes and from the program, where you can appear, to Flyers, Posters, Social Network, Videos, Facebook, or any other ways of promotion. If you don’t agree with this please let us know by sending an email to inestralha@goodsurfgoolove.com.
6. Insurance
The surf, skate, and strength training classes are included in the Program, however, we recommend the participants to have insurance that will protect them during the remaining time of their stay. We reinforce that, we reserve the right to refuse to use the Company Insurance in case the participants don’t follow the trainer’s rules or guidelines. No Insurance is included during rentals or free Surf time. You take full responsibility for any damage you may cause to yourself, the equipment, or another person. Please always respect to avoid, any case of an accident, even if it’s just ruining someone’s mood.
7. COVID-19 or Similar Crises
while the situation of COVID-19 is verified, everyone has to respect the instructions of our team and behave by the laws established in the European Union, and all the Guidelines of the National Health System – SNS (national health system) for each county.
The placing of public health at risk will be considered deliberate bad behaviour and disobedience to established norms and laws will result in warning and contact with Local Authorities. In dangerous or repetitive behaviour, the result will be exclusion from the Program and communication with the Local Authorities. As a result, no money will be returned and no liability for future costs will be assumed. Please make sure that, upon arrival, you are aware of all local laws for your period of stay in the program.
In the case of the law changes during your stay, and it is not possible to finish the Program, part of the value will be reserved for future inscription.
