The drive to progress. The commitment to train.

It asks for commitment.
And gives you support.

There is a difference between going surfing and following a training plan. Here, we help you build consistency.

We are a small group of women who want to progress. Each woman brings her own body, experience, concerns and goals. That is where the work begins.

  • You already surf independently and want to understand how to progress.
  • You value assessment, regular training and individual feedback.
  • You want a coach who is there for you and a community of women.
  • You can commit to ten weeks of consistent work.

Your drive matters.
So does what you do with it.

Why I call it mentorship

There is a programme.
And there is your own path.

It is mentorship because I coach the person who surfs: your surfing, your questions and the decisions you are learning to make.

A workshop explores a specific topic in a concentrated format. A programme organises content and stages. A training plan sets out the work to do.

Here, these tools form part of ten weeks of ongoing coaching. I begin by getting to know you. We agree on goals together, observe how you respond to training and adjust priorities as you develop.

You train. You understand what you are doing. And you learn to guide your own progress in surfing.

Getting to know you.

Your assessment and goals shape the starting point. The plan fits who you are and where you are in your surfing.

Coaching you over time.

Regular practice, video analysis and feedback connect each session to the next. We link what you feel with what we observe and what you need to practise.

Giving you tools.

Understand why you do each exercise, recognise priorities and make decisions more independently. What you learn should stay with you in the ocean.

The programme · Ten weeks

Train. Understand.
Get back in the ocean.

Assessment, planning, practice and review. With individual attention within a group that gets to know one another and grows together.

01

Your starting point

A questionnaire, physical assessment and technical assessment in the ocean. We start by understanding you, your surfing and what you want to work on.

02

An individual plan

Goals agreed with you, based on your METSIT® assessment. Understand what you are practising and why. Feedback guides your next steps.

03

Ocean training

Two surf sessions per week, with an optional third session included. Each week, we schedule 3 to 5 sessions around ocean conditions and the group’s availability, so everyone can find times that fit.

04

Watch. Understand. Adjust.

Filming and video analysis every week. We review your technique, identify priorities and take that work back into the water.

05

Physical preparation

A plan for four land-based workouts per week, adapted to you and updated every three weeks. Physical preparation connected to the demands of your surfing.

06

A community that shows up

A social gathering each month: surfing, snacks, conversation and group analysis. Shared experience, support and women who want to train and grow together.

Surfing needs to fit your life

Consistency in the ocean.
Work between sessions.

Two weekly surf sessions, video analysis and a physical training plan for the days in between. The third ocean session is an extra opportunity for those who can attend.

Surf sessions are scheduled each week around ocean conditions and the group’s availability. We offer 3 to 5 sessions per week, so everyone can find times that fit.

METSIT® · Inês Tralha’s method

The plan starts with you.
And continues in the ocean.

Understand the surfer. Select the equipment. Read the ocean. Organise teaching and training around that relationship.

The story behind the mentorship

I had to start
again, too.

I created this mentorship while recovering from treatment. I wanted to return to the ocean, progress and rebuild my fitness. I knew I needed to do it gradually.

And I thought: what if I brought together a community of women with drive and spirit, to share those new first steps with me?

I brought my experience as a teacher and coach into this programme. And an even stronger conviction: coaching needs to consider the whole person. Her body, the experience she brings, her goals and where she is in her life.

That is the space I want to build with you: committed, human and joyful. I understand, I relate, and I know how to guide you.

With science. With method. With honesty.
